How does this cure eating disorders? People still have mirrors and have brains that are wired different this literally solves nothing but throw someone in jail that has a makeup hobby that you disapprove of
By removing unhealthy benchmarks.
The problem isn't people seeing their reflection in the mirror. They have an unhealthy and unrealistic image of what beauty is which is fueled by the media (fashion industry, celebrities, models and social media influencers).
It is not a problem when the image can be achieved by living a healthy life. When the image promoted is dependent on mutilation and starvation, it is irresponsible to allow it to continue.
How about you start giving education and having conversations and not throwing people in prison for what they choose to do with their body? You are solving literally no problems but making people do their disorders that you want to end behind closed doors.
Conversations are necessary too, but it is not helped by people seeing the opposite rewarded.
You just have to look at how people drool over these surgically enhanced women to realise that words alone will not be enough.
People get punished for smoking weed all the time but it didn't stop them from doing it lol.

Actions are required to stop promoting substance abuse. Outlawing the act itself won't do anything when the material people are exposed to promote the complete opposite.
Weed is one thing, but if I had my way people would be severely punished for promoting the use of hard drugs and violence.
