Ipod misorganizing albums

Most of the albums i put on my ipod dont show up right.

There will be mad folders with different songs in them........making it impossiable to play the album striaght through.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I usually just right click on a song, select get info, go to the info tab and make sure the artist and album name are all spelled the same on each song that

should be on the album...no extra spaces or any bullshyt. Also adding the track #'s to the right helps...like track 1 of 14, then track 2 or 14...but yeah it's

bullshyt. Usually when I'm bored at work I'll fix it but its a pain...fukk people who tag shyt improperly.

The iPod does not necessarily behave in the same way as iTunes. In particular the paring <Album,Album Artist> is often not enough to guarantee that all the related tracks are treated as one album in every view. There are two stages to fixing this. First rename albums (or sort albums) where the album tile is used by more than one artist, e.g. "Greatest Hits". Then set the sort artist to the album artist whenever the artist field differs from the album artist. (You may be able to skip this step when you only have one album by the given artist.)

With careful tweaking of the sort fields you can get one & only one cover displayed for each & every album in the cover flow & album views. You can also modify the order in which they are displayed while showing the correct names by choosing suitable values. If you want them in chronolgical order you go for setting the sort field on the album to Artist/Year.

You have to tag 'album artist' properly. I used to have this issue.

If you tag 'album artist' as jay z for instance...all the songs with other featured artists will show up properly in the album folder.

You have to make sure that your grouping and artist sort doesnt have anything funky in there....when I get a new CD I alway open it with mp3 tag & edit out the B.S or add what needs to be before it goes in iTunes & zune

If you open up 'get info' on the song in Itunes there's 2 artist fields: Artist and Album Artist. Album Artist ins the field used to group the album, make sure its correct.

And make sure there are no spaces after the last word, trust me iTunes will NOT realize they are the same

I ALWAYS re tag my shyt no matter where I get it from. I'm very specific as to how I like my music sorted. I also write features in the lyrics section so that if Im on my iPod I can touch the screen while the song is playing and it goes a bit dimmer and shows feat. Ghostface Killah or whoever. I prefer the look of that to having feat. So&so at the end of the track name or artist name.

Have you tried it with different headphones or speakers? Maybe just your headphones are fukked that happens to me all the time

Damn dude what about when these crazy a$$holes include the Artist Name, Album, Track Number, and Song Name all in the song title


At first I was really strict about changing everything but I'm always deleting music to make room for more. Now I just make playlist.
