iPad 3 owners

Had my ipad3 since day one and still love it

This isnt big enough an upgrade to upset me. It's like the iphone 4s. Retina screen was enough to hold me over for a year or more at least.

- Folks that just bought the iPad 3 are owners of a discontinued product
- Apple basically acting like it doesn't exist anymore
- iPad 4 has a better processor and is coming next month

It's not like iPad 3s all died and stopped working because the iPad 4 was announced, but it hints at some type of hardware issue for 3, and it's also a slap in the face to the early adopters.

Damn, they dropping the iPad 4 the same year as the 3????

I still got a 2 and my wife rockin with the OG.

Edit: I see y'all mean the mini when talking about the 4. I thought u meant a full size new iPad.

Double edit: they r dropping a full size iPad 4. WOW What r the differences besides the lightning connector?

Meh, they are just switching to the bi-yearly refresh like most companies. Ipad 2 and on are all boss! Hell, I know people with the first gen that still rock with it.

I enjoy my Ipad 3 and use it daily. It will likely be used for strictly home use once my Surface comes in the mail, but anyone calling the Ipad 3 trash simply because Apple released a new one is clearly a moron.

I cant blame apple for wanting to quickly update the specs on the Ipad though. After seeing the upcoming Surface in action im sure they were shytting their pants.

So uncharacteristic of Apple.

if all they gon do is just change the processor and camera every year..

Basically...It doesnt matter if they dropped the 4 this year or next march....if thats what the trend will be then I'll stick with my Ipad 3 for the next 2-3 years. I dont use my iPad for taking pictures and the processor bump is whatever to me.... I wanted the retina display and got it...Im good for now.

It's an abnormally fast time between versions, so many are wondering if it's like a hardware patch or something.

They dropped 3 like a bad habit in a way that's hard not to think something is up.

I bought my ipad 3 in august...its powerful with a beautiful screen resolution. The faster processor on the ipad 4 probably won't be noticable to me. Technically i could sell mine and pay a small premium to get the latest one but for what? Not sure what the value of the ipad 3 64 gb is going for now on the secondary market but i'll probably have to shell out at least another 200 bucks after the sale to get the ipad 4...no need for that unless there was a feature that i couldn't use on my current one that the new one has and is essential
