Trump is weak. Millennials are in their 30s now.

Iowa voted Obama twice. Dems are serious about addressing rural America collapsing.
I live here... It is already in the process of collapse. Wherever a Dollar Store shows up. shyt gets progressively worse. There is no recovering from their poor choices this time. Money is never coming back to the farmers and the communities. Land Prices are dropping, foreclosures are increasing, spirits are broken.

Yup. And Obama promised to turn that around and didn’t do much. Dems don’t like to hear and don’t want to say it. Even the 2020ers aren’t going to criticize Obama in the face of Trump but why should people in rural America trust the Dems? Thankfully, the GOP proves they don’t care and the Dems have a space to propose action to address any of these issues.

No, im saying i hear nothing but pro-Trump and anti-socialism talk

But I am in a Trumpy area (Green Bay). No idea what the state overall is going to do

Tammy Baldwin won the state by 10 points in November. Evers eeked out a W ousting Walker.

If Dems are gonna win, it’s about running up the score in Milwaukee and Madison. Only 47% of blacks voted in 2016 and Trump barely won the state. They turned out at 70% for Obama in 2012.

The Dems losing in rural areas is a huge problem. I mean losing is one thing but getting blown out is the problem.

The Koch network invested a lot in destroying organized labor in that state. It’s sad.

Just shows how far to the right the Democratic Party has shifted, that old guts GOP members feel comfortable enough switching sides.

Been saying Democrat’s are Republicans, and republicans are Nazis.

Both parties have shifted to the right, but Trump's terrible behavior (rather than him being too far right) is why this guy defected.

I know why he defected, I’m just saying it says a lot about the status of the “democratic” party that guys who were republicans are okay with joining their ranks. And that the democrats are seemingly okay with it too.

no politician switches between the two major parties for anything other than job preservation/self-preservation.

nothing about donald trump isn't everything republicans have stood for for years, he just pulled the goofy dogwhistle mask off.

bet he still votes like shyt in their legislature.

This is one of those cases where "reality has gotten in the way of your ideology and perhaps you need to reevaluate your beliefs accordingly."

His district is a bunch of White working-class rural Iowans.

He won in a landslide in 2016.

Trump won the counties he represents by 20%.

So how does becoming a Democrat possibly give him job preservation/self-preservation?

Again though, if he really IS worried about Republicans losing in such a solid red district, it would basically mean that Trump doesn't even have a 1% shot at reelection.

Also, given the way congress works, if he gets re-elected will he become his state senate majority leader? :dwillhuh:

Literally have a career republican be the head of the party :mindblown:
yeah the dems are moderate republicans. gay and women friendly republicans, however you want to word it. oppression is cool as long as the oppressors are diverse. repubs are fascists/nazis whatever. .
