Theres no simple way of explaining what a jailbreak does other than giving you root access. The best thing to do is just do it and poke around some. If you like it, cool. If not then restore and go back to factory.
You cant get updates because that'll return you to stock but once you have everything set up theres really no need to update unless its a big thing like Apple Watch support or Apple Pay (only reason i updated my main shyt was cuz I wanted Apple Music)
Indeed I did see a chic on a iph and her shyt looked crazy. She said it was jailbroke. I think ima chill tho I got too much riding on my devices to be experimenting. They fukk up enough on their own
