Top 5 common song. I had to force myself not to press replay on my cd player and listen to rest of the album. But today is the day I found out he had a video for it…
I didn’t know he had a video for it either lol. And TODAY, I just discovered he had a video for “hungry”. I never knew or seen those shyts for 28 years.

:wow:
‘One day it will all make sense’ is still my favorite Com album. I love everything but UMC, but this one always resonated with me the most. It felt like he was still trying to figure it all out on ‘Resurrection’, then he put it all together for this. This is the quintessential Common album for me.

DAP + Rep. My favorite song off what I consider Com's best album. I used to just let this rock on repeat and write to the last few bars of the instrumental. No I.D. was showing off this whole album with the production.

dap and +rep right back at you, brother :salute: :myman:

i was going to say, i'm shocked nobody uses this beat to freestyle over or just use it in general for another song, because that beat is one of those ones that's so great, i wouldn't care how

sorta how Pimp C felt so confident using the "I Choose You" (Willie Hutch) beat again after Project Pat (Juicy J and DJ Paul) had already used it once for Pat's song.

but it's so great, he was like, "fukk it, let's use it again" and then they made "International Players" once he came back home.

that's how i feel about Invocation. if i was an emcee, I'd have to use that beat again for my album. i wouldn't change shyt about the beat either. same beat
