Feminists complain about society objectifying women and over sexualizing them - and then they protest by objectifying themselves and using sex to sell a political message.
Ok.
Yeah bro they were talking about this during the debate, I just posted. There's definitely some interesting and conflicting perspectives on both sides.
But if women believe walking around topless, will bring more attention to the "oppression" of female rights universally, whom am I to stand in their way.
I mean in some countries women can't even congregate with men. Not to mention they're forced to be entirely submissive to a man who could potentially abuse them on daily basis. This could our moms breh. I wouldn't be ok with my day, or some man abusing my mom daily for the f*ck of it...
Moving forward art history from political movements in the past have always depicted nude individuals(women).
As far as the sexualization of women throughout the media, I believe that's pure bs. America like many other cultures, and countries throughout the world, has a problem dealing with sexuality. We all have sex. It shouldn't be seen as taboo. Of course people idolize about the "perfect mate".
But there should be a more strategic system of addressing sexuality and body image, amongst impressionable children, teenagers, and young adults.
