The "point" is lost when it is just product placement all the same imo. Other titles accomplish this dystopian capitalist future through irony or metaphor. GTA for instance. Cyberpunk for a genre example.

This isn't poking at or making fun of or lampshading, it just is the thing you feel me?

The future of buying things directly from games feels very close.

Ehhh. This is kind of a reach for now, since we don't know much of anything about the world or overall story. Gotta see more before I can be this cynical.

It's Naughty Dogg who has an almost excellent track record. Uncharted 1 - 4, The last of us 2 & 3, Jak & Daxter. Killing Factions 2 was their biggest flop


I will say, the team who made the prior games may not even be there anymore, so this new IP could be a flop.
