was at a birthday party, and there was a ravine in the backyard. some dudes started climbing it and i did as well, i lost my footing like after fifteen feet and fell, i could have been dead but landed awkwardly and dislocated my shoulder. everyone who saw it said i was flying in the air like i was floating it happened so quickly
I had a brush with death 20 years ago doing something similar hiking up a waterfall at Yosemite. My dumbass was wearing some worn out , Converse basketball shoes when I slipped on the slippery rocks. If a friend of mine didn't grab me in time and I was six feet closer to the edge, I would've fell 50 feet to my death.
As for injuries, no broken bones, but I did have my share of running related injuries. Rolled my ankle a thousand times, turf toe, twisted my ankle over a rock while running full speed on a trail
Injury led to six months of Plantar Facit*ts . Trust me, shyt is not the business
2011 I did a marathon in Long Beach. Everything outside the race was bad. Race started Downtown but I booked my hotel near the airport by accident , which was on the other side of town. Plus , I had issues with my license so I couldn't rent the car I booked. I also had a glitch in my checking account so I only had enough for a cab ride downtown to get my race packet. But I had to walk 7 miles back in the dark through East Long Beach to get back to my Hotel, the night before my race.I almost got lost
but I kept my cool. I found a way to get a cab again to the race start , which was near the same place, but I had to walk back to my hotel in triple digit heat up hills for six miles after I ran 26.2 miles
My feet were on fire for days and I had severe blisters for months. My dumb ass even thought it was a good idea to work a shift at my sales job (which I'm on my feet) , the same day I came back home).
But the medal was
