Democrats officially have an anchoring problem. No matter how progressive their policies end up, they are always eclipsed by what could've been and where they initially started. They need to figure out how to underpromise and overdeliver and not the other way around.

With that said, I'm happy that they are passing progressive policy that will make a difference to a lot of US families. It is frustrating that two Senators are holding everything up, but Murkowski/Collins/McCain did the same thing for Republicans and I was cheering them on as a Democrat (although I'd gladly see them lose office to a Democrat). C'est la vie. Obama has this saying about progress being a pendulum... although it isn't swinging as hard as we'd like in the progressive direction, it is moving towards more progressive policies that Republicans will have trouble eliminating without public blowback

Who gives a fukk about this bill at this point?

they took out everything good and have a trash ass corporate bill.

I hope progressives tank this. Democrats deserve to lose. Such a pathetic party.

They won't tank it. Its either this bill or nothing and the Dems are gonna be locked out of the House of Representatives for the next decade or more. So, its an easy decision. A lot of the committee chairs who been in their for 2 or 3 decades are getting some version of their legacy projects in there.
