Played this OUT in sophomore year of high school. The 2004 album had a few classic tracks too, "Empty Out" was my favorite.

The production was incredible, probably Alchemist at his best. The lyrics were pretty bad, even back then, but made up for any rawness and production quality.

Is IM3 really that bad at emceeing?

I listened to special edition last night and Twin is a dope emcee and Godfather has a cool voice and dope flows.

Ty is the weakest by far. He’s not very dope at all, and none of them are great lyricists, but Twin abd Godfather can flow; and over dope production that counts for a lot right? They also had good features on that album.

they get compared to group home a lot but I think they’re better

Even in 2001, I was 15, I knew these guys were average, below average, at best, there were moments when you forget, but there are others when you realize how ill matched, the beautiful, haunting, eerie beats are for the basic lyrics.

Album is amazing. I’ve regularly revisited this since 2015. Been a long time fan of Twin Gambino ever since “Cant Complain”, and Ty Nitty and GOD 3 both have managed to have good production over the years.
