Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this Janela/Bloodsport stuff looks terrible and the fandom surrounding it is very strange. Granted, I've never seen a minute of these shows, but the hype you see on here for these matchups featuring indie nobodies and people 20-30 years past their prime (if they ever had one) is :what:.

I'm guessing this is a "it's not supposed to be good" thing. Kind of like watching Mystery Science Theater 3000, but the wrestling version. :pachaha:

Im saying these same dudes shyt on Gedo's booking all day here but big up this garbage and Joey Ryan penis parties. :hhh::scust:

:what: GTFO who has ever praised Joey Ryan's nonesene in here? :russ:

Gedo is critized because he has an awesome roster and endless possibilities of booking a bunch of interesting talent and matches but he keeps doing the same shyt he's been booking since 2012.

Janela is praised because he doesn't have any talent pool whatsoever and makes fun and interesting matchups and has a crazy cast of misfitst. People appreciate the Paul Heyman way of making the best of limited talent and putting them in the best positions to succeed.

Years ago Mike Quakenbush was called the best booker because he was able to create a whole world of comedy and weird gimmicks and make it work/make sense. Shows weren't touching the more high praised stuff but they were fun and by far had the most logic behind them.

I've watched the last two years. They're terrible but entertaining in a car crash way, which I believe is the intention.

Exactly. No one has ever nominated a SB show as best of year. It's all fun fukkery.

You ever once in a while see ROH 2003-2006 clips and remember how much good shyt there was and how it felt like ROH was truly the new (and better) ECW? And so much of it it holds up so well today, so much better than modern ROH which might as well be a completely different company. Hasn't had that feeling in well over a decade. :wow:

That's one of the most baffling things about Chikara: The secrecy around it. Quackenbush is burning bridges yearly, monthly, and no one says a thing about it. All we have is rumors. What kind of powers does he got over the people who works for his company? Does he makes them sign non-disclosure agreements for everything, being the control freak he is?

I can't give him enough props for fukking Hania the Huntress, tho. That's commendable.
The Hania thing was never officially proven either. Chikara is a cult I dont care what anyone says. That BDK storyline isnt far from what they really are. For every ounce of talent Quack has he has been a pound of trouble.

Well, at least *something* happened with her. She isn't listed on their past roster page.

And yeah, I agree. People talks about ECW being a cult and everyone drinking the kool-aid but Chikara is the real weird shyt.

"Escaping the Factory" - The real story behind Mike Quackenbush's Chikara

And I agree it's super weird how a bunch of people have either trained or worked in Chikara and then barely acknowledge it. You'd think Quack getting NXT gigs as producer/trainer would mean people like Sara or even Hero have vouched for him though.

Definitely had to be Sara and Cesaro. Maybe RD Evans too.

"Orange Cassidy is Doing Something or Whatever Who Knows!?" :mjlol:

I'll be happy when indy wrestling gets out of their emo song titles circa 2005 phase with these event names.
