I remember when I was young I used to love shyt like this, but now that I'm older, all that shyt is just cringe to me.
I don't even like blood in matches anymore at all :sadcam:
At least in ECW and WWF when they did wild shyt they fell flatback as safe as possible

These new nikkas doing piledrivers and Burning Hammers off scaffolds and shyt :hhh:

Same here. I was a massive CZW fan and followed the death match scene including IWA Mid South. Not sure what changed but I can't watch that stuff anymore.

We got older:francis:. Deathmatches during the time were all taboo and we as wrestling fans wanted to experience something more than basic wrestling.

Once you realize that these deathmatches are boring, sluggish, and painful to watch...you realize that the ordeal is stupid as hell to begin with.

Trust, I love violence in my wrestling, but it also got to have substance. Something that hasn't been the case for ages with these deathmatch promotions nowadays outside of GCW.

I think you nailed it. Just got older and when I got into the Indy scene it was when ECW died off and XPW / CZW was the next wave. ECW was hardcore but these newer feds took it to the next level. I think alot of these deathmatchs has no substance behind it. It's just violent just to be violent.

I was a huge garbage wrestling fan, too. ECW, XPW, FMW, Abdullah, Foley, Funk, New Jack, Yoshi Kwan, Reckless Youth, etc.
The thing is, everything that today's indy dorks think is cool, guys with training & ACTUAL TALENT were doing back in '97.
I thought light tubes & barbed wire were "hardcore" when I was a kid, but now those things are just played out.

Soon as someone in the back said, “…and let’s take all the canvas off the ring” they should’ve gotten told to STFU or kicked outta the dressing room

Instead promoter standing there’s like :jbhmm:

Reminds me of the CZW incident at Tournament of Death where somebody had a bed of pencils for somebody to take a spot on.

All the wrestlers with common sense were like "I'm not going to do that shyt:picard::gucci::mjtf:"

One dikkhead decided...:patrice::jbhmm::krs:"This could get me over"

So the dumb ass got dropped on the pencils and ended up with lead in his asscheek that he had to take out by himself .

Dumb ass deathmatch wrestlers breh:snoop:

Even Japanese dudes like :hubie:we stick with the tubes and glass ya gaijins.

I dig deathmatches but I like Japan’s “Keep it simple, stupid!” approach. These American feds and their matches are the equivalent of a food item with like 15 random ass ingredients listed on the back. Okay

These are supposed to be fukkin human beings :francis:

Exactly. One thing I enjoy about Japanese Deathmatches is that they actually try to do some moves in the process of smashing each other's shyt.

I think the most extreme thing I seen besides the FMW shyt, was the piranha tank match and even then they 86 that match with the quickness:francis:

Meanwhile, folks are doing these jenga ass prop spots on fukking boards :mindblown:. Damn a broken neck, I'm surprised dude was not splat like a looney tune cartoon :dahell:
