The Rock winning the WWE title in 2013.

Waste of time. That could have easily propelled Ryback to main event status but instead they thought Rock winning the title was much more important.

I never understood making him champ outside of the nostalgia of him doing a few tv spots with the belt. He's bigger than the E, the belt and anybody on the roster from the past 30 years. Everybody from the smarks to marks to casual fans to people who tuned out 10 years ago knows it too.

He's a draw off of his name alone. No reason to use the belt that everybody wants all year as a side thought in a feud where it wasn't needed when it could be at the forefront of another feud AND elevate someone new in the process. It would have made a lot of sense if he won it and put somebody new over but facing a made man in Cena back to back did nothing for anybody (Rock, Cena, the belt, the fans, etc.) except Vince.

However, he worked his ass of more than any other superstar to get to that spot. JR and Cena vouched for him too.

But him main eventing Wrestlemania and winning it though by pinning Cena

Ryback was never in the plans..they could of put over Ryback big at Hell in a Cell against Punk but they didn't and that's that. He never recovered after that bull$hit loss. Then again..Punk wasn't supposed to be champion anyway...it was a Daniel Bryan spot that he wanted just so he could work with the Rock. So it's a lot of what ifs and all of that shyt.

It was nothing but a burial of him. Make him a whining cowardly heel who loses every match of the feud and never sniffs the title after losing it at summer slam. The fact that all
Things Michael Cole and blowing the summer of punk both ranked worse than that on the 2011 Gooker award. 2011 was maybe the WOAT year in wrestling, especially when you consider miz headlined Wrestlemania.

Christian losing to Orton. That was around the time I was just sort of getting back into WWE, but that was a big turn off - he didn't deserve that. He should have been champ in 05 anyway.

Sabin going over Bully Ray never made sense either. I just found Sabin to be really bland, don't think he should have been champ. Stopped watching TNA completely after that.

The Rock going over Punk at Rumble sucked, not because Rock won, but because I knew exactly why he won and who he was going to job for at Mania

Punk wasn't even supposed to have the belt that long..his reign was supposed to end summer 2012. The Rock being around is why his title reign even extended...that's what nyggas never get or understood. Punk has admitted to this..OUTRIGHT. No secret sign language..it's FILED on a damn podcast. Punk had some of the worst ratings of all time..you think he kept that belt because he was actually good or something? LOL. He was on a down swing ever since Kevin Nash powerbombed him weekly and Cripple H beat him at Night of Champions for no reason.
