In todays NBA 4 years 9 points and 4 rebounds a game is worth 5 years and $90 million.

I don’t get how ppl still make this a talking point. It’s simple inflation, and has been happening for decades atp. Worse players get paid more than better players used to because the league makes more money and has to divvy it up between the same number of players. If the max a player can get paid is a set number, somebody else has to get the rest of the money. Or the owners could pocket the profit from the players doing the heavy lifting

Its like still talking about 3 pointers ruining the game :pachaha:
this is america. if one billionaire owner gets to keep all the extra profits to himself, that's better than him having to share it with millionaires. in the blue collar world the population sides with corporations over unions all the time.

We can’t still compare blue collar workers to professional athletes in 2024. You and I both know how the NBA has worked for decades

I gotta see how he plays without iso derozan hoggin & deferring to Zach. Dude could become a 16-18 ppg scorer then the contract would be justified

i'm not talking about how the nba works, i'm talking about how america works. the bitterness is saved for the people closest to you on the ladder, not the ones furthest away. you have people in this very thread bytching about how profits from a private league are distributed to the employees. seems like they would feel better if the players got less and the owners got more.

It's a little bit more than inflation.

Jordan and Scottie were getting paid $4 million and $3 million throughout the 90s which is roughly $9 million and $6 million in today's money.

This nikka Patrick Williams is making more than Michael Jordan made for most of his career adjusted for inflation. Jordan only finally got paid in 97 and 98 when he received $30 million a year which is about $60 something million today.

Pat hasn't been given a real chance to show what he's got with Demar & Zach there. I've said for a couple years now that they had to get those guys outta there and see what the upside for their young talent really is. You aren't going anywhere with a team being led by Demar, Vuc, & Lavine.

This all started with ESPN/TNT paying more for the rights than they had to years ago.

It's all about him getting to the FT line and finishing in transition (and better in general). That's 6 extra points there. We never really saw him with Lonzo, maybe Giddey's pass first mentality and the usage being delegated more after the vets are gone unlock some more scoring to his game

As a Gator fan this is :mjcry:

Dude living the good life lmaooooo like yo me personally it’d get to a point where I don’t give a fukk. It get to a point ain’t no I in team but it’s an I in ownership

I'm surprised when College coaches want to coach in the NBA. You are the king of the hill on campus. You can run a team first offense where everyone averages 15 ppg and is happy about it. You can rule with an iron fist, access to all the thots, and you can yell in college kid's faces and they don't talk back

Things are different when you want to coach in the NBA lol
