But others were plug and play and thus, it is a project that Tupac was not thr creative spearhead of

Not even just that. But when you compare the engineering of the album it sounds more clean and commercial compared to everything else he was putting out. Like 2Pacalypse Now sounded underground, Strictly sounded underground and muddied, Thug Life sounded raw, MATW was a little more clean, and Makaveli had that raw sound.
