by doing this he just froze himself out of boxing. hbo runs boxing in terms of who has popularity and who fights who showtime is where careers go to die ie mike tyson

HBO still dont carry clout like they used to. Fans are gonna follow wherever the PPV names go to, so Showtime is gonna eat off this.

HBO dont put on the type of fights they used to, that's why Floyd's career wont hurt by going to Showtime. HBO still got Bernard Hopkins headlining World Championship Boxing shows :snoop: they aint the HBO of old

The way he tried to make it sem like Floyd wasn't smart business man and a bad spender (remains to be seen) and how he was ducking Pac and how he needed Pac to get a super mega payday. Pac loses and Floyd got a $200 million plus deal for 6 fights. 50 was wrong on 3 his "beefs" with Floyd.

I m a Floyd Fan but May was gonna make 100+ mil off that Pac fight. He nade close to 90 mil his last fight. That's not a good deal for him if you ask me

Floyd can do the 6 fights. Don't let the Cotto fight fool you, only reason it was competitive because Cotto was in tremendous shape, ever since he got that new trainer he's conditioning has been way better, which was one of his biggest flaws in his career.

Ain't nobody out there who can see really be a threat to him now, a Cotto rematch will probably be his toughest fight. I even think he can take Broner as of right now, but he needs to fight him soon to have the advantage.

Totally agree. Floyd didnt look amazing but he looked very good. I dont think his skills have declined much. Floyd never puts.on a.great show at 154 (de la hoya).

I worry tho that prison may have affected him mentally.

and some mad nikkas were saying he'd end up broke because he likes to flaunt money around :heh:

its too early to know. Lets hope not.

i still think if he fights pac it would still generate a 100 million fight
so that wouldbe 300 million :krs:

fukk no. Pacman would have to come back and win a few fights for it to even be a big fight. Pacman has lost 2 straight, and really it should be 3 straight. Pacman is finished.

50 cent right now gotta be:bryan:

Bu bu bu but Mayweather is broke Haymon gives him an allowence:sadcam:

N lets not forget :deadmanny: who supposedly aint broke but wants to avoid fighting in the US cuz of the taxes..... the 40 milly deal Floyd offer looks pretty good now dont it:youngsabo:

I wouldn't be so quick to jump up and celebrate. We don't know any stipulation of that deal. Im pretty sure they aren't cutting him a $200,000,000 dollar check.

What if he loses. What if he doesn't have 6 fights left in him. What if he doesn't find enough respectable opponents that people will retain interest?

Congratz to Flloyd if it works out but just cause he signed this deal doesn't mean any money was taken out of Fifs pocket...so if all works well they BOTH will be winning which is more excellent than black excellence.

Cause its double the black excellence :obama:

I just wonder who in the hell Floyd is going to find to fight for 6 more fights. Unless there's another star in the next few years coming in 147 or somebody from 140 moves up and becomes a viable threat that will make for an interesting fight.

His next 3 fights could go: Guerrero, Canelo (but he's gonna lose to Trout assuming he doesnt act like a p*ssy and fight him), Devon Alexander (assuming he beats Kell Brook and is still in place as a 147 titleholder).

After that I dont know who/what else is out there
somebody might pop up by 2014

Floyd hasn't fought more than once in about six years. I highly doubt he's gonna start fighting two fights a year now at about 36 years of age. But i would like to see him be more active and fight more legit comp before he retires. He probably will get in two fights this year so who knows, he may get all that money but i doubt it.

What about that red headed Mexican? I don't follow boxing much.

as long as floyd still holds a 154 title there will be nikkas for him to fight...thats a loaded division..no excuses there..147 is a wasteland right now

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
Well to be fair, 50 cent was right.....The Pacquiao fight was a 100 million dollar fight on it's own. It was a legacy fight as well. Also 50 was trying to set him up with a way for him to have a career in boxing AFTER he retires by having his own promotional company as opposed to just being Al Haymon's top boxer now.

This is still a great move for Floyd but I honestly think 50 was on to something.

We don't know if the bolded is true, 50 wil say anything to discredit someone and build himself up. Thats just what he does.
