Area in South Sac that used to be all projects back in the day. Lotta different hoods networked thru there but the OGs way back in the day definitely programmed as Crips and were allied with Garden Blocc...
They used to beef with Garden Blocc too. The city tore down the projects, which displaced some of the residents, and alota East Bay/Oakland cats moved to that area and they were on some unaffiliated Oakland shyt...
Now, at least within the last two years, there's apparently a growing movement of Bloods out there and they are identifying as "G Parkway Bloods". One of the most popular Sac rappers is from there and at the forefront of this trend:
He signed to Birdman/Cash Money. "30 Gang" and "Thumbs Up" is referring to GPB...
There's a long convoluted history here, the Blood identity is just the latest incarnation/tag of what dudes frolic that area call themselves, but that section holds weight and they beef with Oak Park that started 15 years ago (way before The G pushed any Blood identity) basically split Sacramento on some 60s/83 shyt. Especially in South Sac, hoods started choosing sides and to this day. Bloods and Crips and even XIV's and Asians, but all the black gangs started choosing sides---->either you were with The G or Oak Park...
The correlation here to Hoovers is that G-Parkway was a Crip side in the 80s, then that died out. The potential correlation to Macks is they embraced they "mobbin" style of independent banging and were at it with hoods from all over South, so I can see this shaking out like that for Macks...
I'm gonna get that Sacramento documentary shaking one day, there's a story to be told...
