In my opinion, Saba is the only new artist to truly carry that Kendrick and Cole feel

I didn't ask for song titles what's his opinion via bars he rapped?

:dahell:

Tf do you mean “I didn’t ask for -“ nikka I just told you and was trying to help you, what do you think? He didn’t say “fukk Trump”? He not for his people? He a c00n? I’m not about to sit here and spoon feed you an entire essay on every little bar bruh said. nikka the whole album is PRO black and contains full songs about and for the BLACK community. Discrimination and all. You a grown man g, either peep it or don’t.

Saba is like the more accessible Mick Jenkins.

Saba is like Kanye (obvs exaggerating) & Mick is more like Lupe Fiasco.

I 100% agree.

Well I've heard all of his interscope albums and i never left them feeling like I knew how Kendrick felt much of anything. Yes I see the theatrics song titles etc, but I don't hear anything that conveys his opinions, perspective, insight into anything. So I was seeing what you discovered in his music, that I've yet to find.
For example, ice cube made it clear to me how he felt about cops, cave bytches that wanted to get with him, Sell outs, Koreans moving to the hood to make money off of us while disrespecting us, bytches who try to play him for money etc. How he felt was crystal clear. And if you asked me for lyrical examples of what I just said, i can provide with relative ease.

Rap is played out
There isn’t any more new rappers that can make someone “feel”

Genre hasn’t aged well

Lol I know for a fact you didn’t peep the albums. The questions you asking are literally answered word for word in them. Which is why I said I couldn’t tell if you was trolling/fukking with me. You must think he some pretentious type of nikka. Especially going by you saying “title theatrics”

Me giving you the joints to peep is the same as you giving me the lyrics. The songs go more in depth compared to a small
quote. So again, I was trying to help you better understand.

I gave you the joints, you need to do the rest. shyt, literally just search up those songs on google and read the lyrics. Blacker The Berry, the end of LUST. and XXX. alone answers all your questions. Peep the tapes for more of his perspective. That’s literally all Kendrick gives you. Personal life, society, shyt about our community etc. I can’t do anything for you man. I’m not trying to write an essay.

:why:

What? Lol rap is the biggest genre in the world right now and is literally innovating all genres of music. You hear it everywhere.

If you talking quality then yeah the mainstream new rappers are garbage for the most part, but actual talented spitters and overall talented artists never went anywhere. Just depends on where you look.

Yes I meant mainstream and I know about it being the biggest genre now but that is temporary

R and B has been bubbling up again and that in the 2020s will be more popular. People have become tired of the drama related to rap

When a lot of these blogs are gone or become less popular it will make the average rapper also less popular

Kendrick, Drake, Meek, Cole, Nicki, Cardi, Migos will be some of the last mainstream rappers that are that popular(for more than a year)

Afrobeat and R&B will be the biggest genres in the next decade. And my r and B I don’t mean the SZA style

Nah I actually see where you’re coming from. I do agree that rnb is on a heavy resurgence. I actually want to see it back in full full effect. Imo though, I do feel like we’re going to get more talented mainstream rap artists with longevity. At the of the day, the people want rap when it comes to rap lol. Not any wack mumble or drama lol.

Look at what happened to mumble/SoundCloud rap. Dissappeared for the very large majority. Never hear about it anymore. Think the last dude of this ilk was 69. These trash waves don’t ever last forever. I remember before this was the ringtone era. (Though that was still much better than now.)

And you got some nice up and coming spitters making waves for talented rap too. Some with the help of Cole or Dot or some just movig on they own.

I mean you may not really see it in fully effect now, but I really do think the balance is being slowly restored.
