The problems presented in this article involve complex issues of race, political power, and control of local resources. Finding solutions to these issues will require a multifaceted approach that involves addressing systemic inequalities and fostering more inclusive and equitable governance structures.

One solution could involve increased representation of marginalized communities in local and state government. This could involve initiatives to encourage and support the election of more diverse candidates to positions of power, as well as reforms to electoral processes to make them more accessible and fair.

Another solution could involve investing in community-based approaches to law enforcement and criminal justice reform. This could involve initiatives to strengthen community policing and increase transparency and accountability in the justice system.

Additionally, it will be important to address the underlying economic and social issues that contribute to crime and inequality in Jackson and other cities. This could involve initiatives to increase access to education, healthcare, affordable housing, and economic opportunities for all residents, particularly those in marginalized communities.

Ultimately, addressing the problems presented in this article will require a sustained and coordinated effort from government, civil society, and community stakeholders to build more inclusive and equitable institutions and systems that serve the needs of all residents.

I read an article this weekend in the Washington Post about the chronic water crisis that’s taken place over 30 years.

They are creating a separate governing for affluent whites in Jackson. Its sickening.

And Mississippi is a state where black people are Dems and white people are Republicans.

This would be something a central government should stop at its knees, but the US has a really weak central governing structure.
