Interesting.

The article said that internally, the Hawks were expecting to win 31 games this year WITH Collins being available the entire season. Also said pressure isn't on Peirce as Collins have been missing a bulk of the time. However, they expecting the Hawks to improve once Collins come back or the pressure could could start mounting on Peirce.

Wasn’t Vince Carter brought back to essentially be the vocal leader in the locker room for the team?

If he’s not doing that, then why did they bother even bringing him back?

Collins isn’t really going to solve their defensive problem as he’s not much of a defensive player himself.

They really should have kept the Jaxson Hayes pick instead of trading it for more assets as they did.

Unless they luck out and end up with Wiseman, there isn’t a defensive big man out there in the draft or free agency.

In perspective, the Hawks are right on pace with where they were this time last season. Last year they started 6-23 and then Collins came back and they won 5 of their next 6.

This year, they're 6-22, so assuming they lose to the Jazz Thursday, they'll be 6-23 with one game to play before John comes back on Monday. So in actuality , a LOT of this do have to be with the fact John's missing :manny:

If I'm the Hawks GM, I get rid of the vets (since they not doing much anyway) and role with G-league players to fill out the roster, you may find a gem.

He right. Someone needed to say it

Hes right but he’s not the right person to deliver that message right now. That matters. He’s been hurt and has also taken a step back in his development (the injuries have started to force him to shy away from contact).

But the performance of the Hawks this season is disturbing on so many levels, the fact they have to call each other out like this proves how my co of a disaster this season has been

This shyt sounds like the locker room is split. The young players vs the vets

If the article is true it talked about players being upset with selfishness (clear shot at Trae) and a lack of accountability (Pierce). I don’t think it’s an old vs young split, I don’t think this roster fukks with Trae like that and Trae gets a pass and for the most part most of them don’t

Hawks got some serious cultural issues they have to work out in that locker room, Coach Pierce is struggling to keep it together

From what I read last year, there was a lot of beef between the new kids (Kev, John, Trae, and Omari), the young vets of Bud's kids (Bembry, Baze, Prince) while the vets were cool with what was happening. Now it seems that the young vets (Bembry, Parker, Jones are cool with what's happening.) The kids with the pressure on them, Trae, Cam, Kev, Hunter got beef with the vets and maybe dislike the young vets as well for not doing their job.

Travis needs to make some trades. It's clear the kids hate playing with Jones and Parker. Them two nikkas are garbage. They do nothing outside of their little area. For Parker, that's scoring and for Jones, that's just rim running. I would keep Parker as he does have value and :trash: Jones.

:francis: what else is he supposed to do with this roster. He does have some shot selection issues but when it goes in... :wow:

team is missing an identity, and trae ball is not something these players are getting behind. I don't think that looks like a successful approach anyways, we were at our best last year when we played through Collins. But getting COllins back is not goin to fix everything, this team is lacking depth in a serious way, IDK why TS thought Turner was a capable back up PG, and now hes a issue in the locker room? GTFO and Alex Len could hit the bushes too

According to reports , before the season started, TS predicted the Hawks to win 31 games W Collins here the entire year. So he knew the roster was pretty shytty going in.
