Good win but I feel like the Hawks dont have a true defensive identity and their offensive scheme is extremely flawed (not playing through John enough, no movement sometimes, and depending too much on 3's). Sometimes they just look lost on defense. Anyone else noticed that?

Yea it was way too much Trae iso ball down the stretch. We need to run the offense through cam sometimes. Let Trae move without the ball, definitely gotta get John more touches. Let Hunter get more touches where’s he’s not just some spot up shooter.

They gave up 138 to one of the worst offensive teams in basketball. Even in the post game CP was calling out guys, Kev to be more physical on the perimeter, Trae to at least be “pesky”. There’s zero defensive identity or accountability on this team. Also I agree that we should play through John more. Dude was perfect most of the night and only had like 11 attempts going into OT. He should be getting 15 shots a night minimum
BTW that playoffs mandate had to come from Ressler, he’s tired of all the losing. Depends on what type of jump the young guys take in year 2 and how we build this roster out
We need a much much better bench this offseason. Outside of Kevin and Dedmon for next year, the bench is weak af. We need to bring in Harrell and Joe Harris. I hope we draft Killian Hayes.

If Cam continues his trajectory then yes he should. I’d love Trae to live in that 22-25 ppg, with greater shooting efficiency, cut down on the turnovers and at least try on defense.

Teague’s been ehh, Graham should not be playing this many minutes, Goodwin is just ok.
You’re right, this is a very limited roster that needs significant upgrades to be competitive next season

Last year he said we were too young to learn his defensive principles, but we got younger in the offseason so I guess we didn’t learn defense for the second yr in a row
Alotta people, myself included, have given CLP a pass because of injuries, roster, etc. He’s got next year to get us back to the playoffs otherwise he’s out IMO
