In Living Color vs. Chappelle's Show

I loved In Living Color but just doesn't hold up for me. I watch it when its on Centric on the weekends and i barely laugh and i grew up with it and get the jokes. I can't name that classic ILC skit where with Chappelle's Show there are 3 or 4 classic skits...

Just think about it one show had Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans, David Alan Grier Kenan Ivory Wayans and Tommy Davidson, the other had Dave Chappelle, Larry Rollins, and Charlie Murphy. A lot of you cats are too young to remember how funny In living color was and how some of those characters were goats. Fire Marshall Bill, Homie Da Clown and Wanda and tons of classic parody songs. In living color wins this.

Chappelle's Show by far. ILC is good, but all of those Kim Wayans skits...

The shows are to far apart in terms of time to really compare. They are like what 15 yrs or so apart?

Chappelle only two seasons by a landslide.

In Living Colour had alot of hits and misses, and when the main cast left, it was unwatchable.

Both of them had plenty of classic moments but they both had a lot of skits that werent that funny at all. And like others have said some of In Living Color's skits (most of the ones after Keenan left) have not aged well at all. But the show is over 20 years old so maybe in another 10 years people will say the same thing about some of Daves skits. Though shyt like Rick James and Clayton Bigsby will always be funny. Just like i think Fire Marshall Bill and Homey D Clown will always be funny.

Hard to say. ILC had a full roster of stars, while Chappelle had a good support cast, but he was the main star.

I guess you can say that Chappelle probably has the funniest sketch out of both of the shows, but ILC has better overall quality that hit you from every angle.

Tommy & Jamie doing Jodeci? Funky Finger Productions, Homey the Clown, Men On..., the musical parodies, Calhoun Tubbs..too much versatility.

my parents always watched ILC but would make me go to bed when it came on. Finally got to watch during its later seasons with SW3 and marlon but shyt was weak at that point.
