I was young, but I remember dikk TRACY having one of the best marketing campaigns ever. They had all those toys that came with Happy meals I think?
I dont remember McDonalds having toys
They did have a line tho
I remember the toy for the blank face character being like the hardest shyt ever to find
In new york city!
Its like the only ones they had was dikk Tracy, Flat Top, and Pruneface

I really liked the viral marketing for Days of Future Past with the 20 Moments and the Bent Bullet websites. In fact, it was the viral marketing that made me want the see the movie and not the trailers.

Dark Knight - with the Joker popping up and Harvey Dent ads

The year leading up to TDK is some of the best viral marketing ever. They started off by revealing The Joker, and then sent fans on treasure hunts to find other items, they sent things like cakes to fans, you got to vote in the Gotham City District Attorney election, get recruited by the GPD, got papers for The Gotham Times (with fully written articles), websites galore, the GTV interviews, and then to top things off, the night before the movie dropped, all of the sites got hacked by The Joker, and you got a news update message saying that one of the banks in Gotham was being robbed. :wow:
