In light of Deadpool, what other films have had goat level marketing?

Deadpool's marketing is goat level status. It was brilliant top to bottom. It does really help when the star has a real passion for the project. It's pretty evident Ryan Reynolds had a huge hand in helping with campaigning.

Star Wars: TFA was all over the place.

What's more interesting to me is all the marketing and the movie still flopping.

Godzilla in 1999. shyt was unavoidable, Puff was doing rock songs about it. Taco Bell was dropping like 500 commercials a day. It was everywhere.

The Hulk movie had TV specials dedicated to it and everything but still flopped.

When batman returns came out and parents and McDonald's saw what it was. Saw that it wasn't a movie that played well with happy meals lol there was a bit of an uproar. McDonald's quickly pulled the toys saying they didn't want to be associated with it, the movie underperformed and then we got batman forever
