yup i totally agree with this which i why i didn't hop on the bandwagon trynna call the guy an idiot.

it at least showed me that this guy is trying to THINK about what he's been taught and not just accept everything at face value

this is how you are expected to think about things at higher levels of sciences anyway. you try to find out if things are right, if they can be improved on, make new discoveries etc.

the majority of the people getting on him don't even know why the earth is round themselves.

the best part of the internet is the accessibility to learning and knowledge. b.o.b chose to include those tweets on whatever quest he is on for general learning and i applaud anyone for that regardless of what level (for lack of a better term) academically they are. its perhaps even more admirable given his circumstances compared to the average 'flat earthers' or whatever other group hes being lumped in

Not true at all.

They don't understand science and they aren't just looking for answers science doesn't provide. There's countless questions science can't answer - the earth being round isn't one of them.

First of all, the science explaining why the earth is round is incredibly simple, and there's hundreds of ways of doing it. Ranging from Foucault's pendulum, the wells of egypt, standing in flat rivers with sight lines, the list goes on. Doubting those methods is even worse than doubting climate change, because people have been proving it for thousands of years. The flat earthers absolutely have political and religious agendas. In fact, I think the idea that the earth is flat is probably the FIRST religious conspiracy theory that really had an impact on accepted science.

So I have no idea what the point of this article is, it's completely wrong on basically every level, poorly written, not fact checked. They're just lying and making things up about flat earthers, the same way flat earthers lie and make up shyt about the universe.
