In DC, public housing tenants forced out, then homes flipped

No you don't . What we got too be is pro active for once. Somebody has too inform the people living there you need too plan for the future. Living in public housing shouldn't be a life long goal. When I read about people living in project for 30 years it's disgusting that they just got content and life passed them by. We as a people need to be more competive . We need push ourselves and be ready and informed for these situations . Living in public housing shouldn't be a high point in life. Leaving them and doing better for your kids and setting examples for them to compete and push for a better life is what needs to be pushed. When I read some of the comments on here I'm like do you people always want us in last place? Is that what's acceptable now? Sometimes I think it's whites pretending to be black posting these stupid comments to placate us and say it's okay too leave and give up. Asians don't do that dumb shyt and we shouldn't either.

Let me ask you this if you could reach just 10% all the people on that area in the next 2 years that's a win. Two years after that another 10% wake up, that progress to me. I'm not saying overnight but in this day and age it's very possible. In NYC the Asians were under attack but they have owners who rent too their own kind and have their own banks and lawyers who fought off all attempts to move them out. I used to live in woodside Queens and I saw it first hand. I saw these white guys dressed in suits go door to door asking people if they wanted to sell their homes. These were smug arrogant pricks and the people trolled by saying they don't speak English or just saying no. They then went on the offense and bought more property in the area and put in more apartment buildings and made these whites even madder. Opened their own bank , pharmacy, two supermarkets and such so no Duane Reede or Chase gained ground. I'm just saying wherever we move we have to educate and prepare those folks to hold on to their property.

Okay so your solution is too move everytime? Don't educate them don't tell them about saving and planning for the future if in the chance it teaches just some to better themselves. Glad I got out of DC while I could. I lived there 7 years in Columbia Heights and the changes I saw there in those few years were staggering. Those El Savaldorians on 14th street are on borrowed time. The gentrifiers turned Chocolate city into Vanilla Village.

I agree with you that men should step up.. but being realistic about all of this at this point. That's probably not gonna happen, at the level needed anyway.
