I can’t say that because Michael Jordan went through the growing pains in the 80s to finally get over the Pistons. He dedicated himself to getting better, lifting weights doing whatever needed to be done. They swept that Pistons team.

Lebron was on a similar path going through the growing pains. He took that team to the finals against the Spurs and lost. To Lebron defense he needed at least one more piece around him. I dont think he should’ve left the Cavs for Miami.

The Cavs were good prior to him leaving they just needed one more piece. That piece not an aging Shaq either. The front office deserve blame for him leaving the first time. Lebron was great and he made the people around him better. He just left instead of getting that other piece he needed.

They were never getting that piece. Front office fukked up time and again and no stars wanted to go to Cleveland. Jordan was fortunate that Seattle traded a lottery pick that turned out to be an all-time great wingman.

Young Lebron winning 80% of his games with 34 year old Illgauskas and Mo Williams = underachieving

Prime Kobe missing the playoffs with Lamar Odom and Caron Butler = ??

Read my post he went 26-4 against the West in ‘09 and 23-7 in ‘10 and had a better overall winning % against the West than the East in ‘07 and ‘08.

The only teams in the West that could actually fukk with a Bron-led team in a series were the Spurs and Lakers. You need defense to beat Bron.

Then why did he only come out of the East once during his first stint with the Cavs? And Western Conference teams had more difficult regular season schedules. Cavs could beat up on several bad East teams and be less dinged up (injuries) or tired once they faced Western Conference teams.

Not to mention that team was doing good that season until Kobe got hurt and Rudy T bailed and the season cratered.

Jordan got Scotty Pippen the best small forward in the NBA, that’s why he got over the hump

LeBron didn’t get a player of Pippens caliber till Dwade.

MJ made Pippen great in practice. Granted he was drafted high and he didn’t come in scoring right away. He only averaged 7.9 points rookie season and played 20 minutes a game. Pippen became Pippen later. Even when he was going against them bad boy pistons early he was putting up about the same amount of ppg as Moe Williams.

MJ turned Scottie Pippen into who he was in practice. The coaching staff had to tell Mike he had to ease up on Scottie he was going to kill his confidence. He didn’t make the allstar team until his 4th year in the league. MJ made him better. Lebron still played with Moe Williams, Carlos Boozer, Big Z. MJ made Pippen into an all star caliber player.

The Bulls drafted Pippen in 1987-88 they didn’t sweep the Pistons until the 1990-91 season. That’s 3 seasons it took for Scottie to develop mentally and physically. There were growing pains for Scottie as well so let’s not act like once he got there the Bulls turned into a dynasty.

Kobe had a PG that averaged 14/4, a wing that averaged 15/10/5, and another wing that averaged 16/6.

Surely, the best player in basketball (in his prime) should at least make the playoffs with that kind of supporting cast... Especially since folks are claiming a pre-prime Lebron should have won a championship because "Mo Williams averaged 17 PPG" :mjlol:

So Jordan turned a 6’10 lottery pick who could jump out the building into a 6’10 lottery pick who could jump out the building :russ:

Scottie was highly drafted but he didn’t come into the league killing it. He played beside MJ and wasn’t even the rookie of the year his rookie year. He only averaged 7 points a game on 20 minutes.
