Z was an All Star before Bron

He made an all star game in 2005. In 2009 he was averaging 12 points a game and was 2 years away from retirement :mjlol:

Mo was a bucket before Bron, got 6MOY votes, was an All Star
Varejo was top defensive player during his time, got DPOY votes multiple yuears
In 2008 Mo Williams was 48th in the league in points per game.

To put that in perspective a rookie OJ Mayo was 39th :mjlol:

i guess bucket means every player with a pulse. :gladbron:

Zo also made the all star game in 2003, and by 2009 he was grabbing 10 boards a game, dumbass

Idk what ranking in the league or Oj Mayo has to do with anything. Mo dropped 17ppg as the 2nd option in Milwaukee and he did the same in Cleveland.

Pau Gasol averaged 18ppg in 2008 which was 37th in the league.

To put that in perspective, Hedo Turkolgu was 32nd, Danny Granger was 31st, Josh Howard was 28th, David West was 22nd, Al Jefferson was 20nd, and Carlos Boozer was 18th

I guess that means Pau was easily top 10 player though :laff:

Mo Williams was 48th!
OJ Mayo was 39th!

Okay, let's recap here then:

In 2008 (Pau's first season with the Lakers):

Pau Gasol averaged 18.8ppg, good for 37th in the NBA

Hedo Turkolgu was 32nd
Danny Granger was 31st
Josh Howard was 28th
David West was 22nd
Al Jefferson was 20th
Carlos Boozer was 18th
Chris Bosh was 10th

In 2009:

Pau Gasol averaged 18.9ppg, good for 26th in the NBA

Rudy Gay (his former teammate in Memphis when they lost 12 straight playoff games) was 25th
Jason Terry was 22nd
Yao Ming was 21st
Al Jefferson was 20th
Ben Gordon was 17th
David West was 15th
Devin Harris was 14th
Antwan Jamison was 11th
Chris Bosh was 9th

In 2010:

Pau Gasol averaged 18.3ppg, good for 26th once again tied with Dwight and Paul Pierce

Chris Kaman was 25th
Brook Lopez was 23rd
David West was 22nd
Carlos Boozer was 21st
Aaron Brooks was 19th
Corey Maggette was 17th
David Lee was 15th
Zach Randolph was 12th

That’s the point stooooopid. He was closer to washed than he was to all star level. What don’t you understand?

In 2008, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, then with the Cleveland Cavaliers, had a history of numerous foot and ankle injuries, including a broken bone in his right foot that kept him sidelined for an entire season. These injuries significantly impacted his career, with multiple seasons where he missed a substantial number of games. Jennifer Ilgauskas, Zydrunas' wife, acknowledged his career-long struggle with these injuries, which inspired her to open a physical therapy clinic

:mjlol:

My lord. Making the corpse of Ilgauskas into an all star.

I’m not calling Pau Gasol a bucket you hairline less doll playing fakkit :laff:

Gasols impact was his defense and efficiency where he averaged 19 and 10 on 56% shooting.

For instance he held Dwight Howard to 15ppg on 48% shooting. Compare that to Dwight’s numbers vs Ziggy and Varejao who you are trying to paint as all star contributors :russ:

Say it with me fakkit “LeBron will always be better than Kobe. LEBRON WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN KOBE”

See how easy that was :umad:

Yall doing too much in here 🙄...

Mo Williams and Varejao were decent enough players but nobody was winning shyt with those two guys + Ilgauskas as the two best teammates you have. The fact they even made an ECF with those guys playing major roles should speak volumes...

Mf's really in here trying to act like those guys were on Gasol's level 🤣 or like the Cavs roster was equal to the Lakers 🤣

Gasol was twice as good, impactful, and better than Mo. Odom was like the Lakers #3 then, or Bynum, and you could say those guys were on the level of Mo, the #2. Both of em were better than Ilgauskas, Cleveland's #3, and Varejao, the #4...

There's no way you look at that roster and think it's an equivalent to the Lakers, unless you're a complete hater or dumbass. Lakers also had a major coaching advantage...

LAKERS PLAYER IN THE WEST.
CAVS PLAYED IN THE WEAK ASS EAST.

WHY ARE YOU MENTIONING THE LAKERS
AS IF THEY HAD TO FACE THE
SAME TYPE OF COMPETITION
TO GET TO THE FINALS?

LAKERS HAVE NOTHING TO DO
WITH THE CAVS CHOKING
2 YEARS IN A ROW AS THE FAVORITES.
THEN YA BOY LOST FOR
A 3RD YEAR IN A ROW AS THE FAVORITE
WITH THE 2011 SUPER TEAM

I mentioned the Lakers because everyone else mentioned them before I did ..

The Lakers played in the tougher bracket but also had tge better team. Kobe's supporting cast and coach were better than Bron's, people thought the Cavs were contenders off the strength of Bron, not because of a coaching advantage or excellent roster...

People thought the Lakers were contenders because of Kobe, because of Phil, because of depth, because they could play any style back then...

Bron didn't choke in '09, he was best player in the series, Orlando just matched up well and dominated every non-LeBron matchup...

In '10 he didn't choke either, if anything you could knock him for quitting on his team like Kobe did in '07. He checked out them, that's a fair criticism...

'11 was a choke...
