Two of my Jamaican friends both date strippers and many of their other friends do the same.
I wouldn't say that it's common among Africans but black caribbeans and Latinos that GREW UP HERE and embraced American culture as their own do have a tolerance level for such women

Poor Cam, why cant these guys find a date a nice girl while their in college? Cam didn't meet any respectable young ladies while he was attending the University of Florida, Blinn College or Auburn University? I am sure he could have had the pick of the goddamn litter. All born or grew up here. I firmly believe part of it has to do with how a faction of hiphop culture actually embraces strippers. It takes the stigma away and doesnt de-humanize these women as much as society used to. In the islands they would have been chased out of mamas house. Here it's more acceptable. Actually you should care that most marry sistas. You should want the media and other black folks to acknowledge so that these young kats will see people that look like them that are rich are married to other black folks.
Edit - And actually the Arabs and asians are in the positions they are in because they actually have a country. The worst performing groups in America are Native Americans and Black folks. The reason is basically neither group has a country any more. Native Americans had their country taken from them and most were wiped out and black folks were stolen from their countries and their cultilure destroyed. So you basically got two groups at the bottom of the barrel with no place to call home.

I was just saying that's the rationale, sometimes, not saying it justifies the choice. Second, athletes/musicians really famous people in general think on a different wavelength than most regular folk, so we can't use their decisions as a metric of much of anything and again like I said in another thread, strippers, escorts, and porn stars are dated and married everyday, we have no idea what Cam Newtons future with this woman is. What a woman does for a living and her 'quality' are not one in the same. If you wouldn't date or a stripper or anyone involved in 'sex work', nothing wrong with that either, but we really don't know most of these women personally or all the factors that attracted these men in the first place to just throw them under the bus as a 'trap' or any of those variations of terms.
Because the nice girls with their heads in the books don't have time for some "dumb jock". Folk don't seem to understand that accomplished broads aren't trying to fukk with men who are intellectually inferior. Not saying that Cam is like this....but they may perceive him that way.
