Udoka was a good coach but let's not forget he blew the Finals up 2-1
@UpAndComing
Just because Mazzulla is ass doesn't mean Udoka was the best.
How soon we forget July 2021 when Udoka got hired on the Celtics, where the team was
- How soon we forget Celtics were one of the most inconsistent defensive teams I've ever seen towards Brad Steven's last couple years as a coach
- How soon we forget Celtics had the most disjointed and predictable offense where Tatum and Brown struggled to coexist offensively
- How soon we forget Celtics fans rejoicing when Tatum and Brown would pass the ball to each other once a week lol
- How soon we forget Marcus Smart was a complete looney tune and actually thought he was a Big 3 with Tatum and Brown lol
- How soon we forget the team tuning Brad Stevens out as well as in-fighting constantly
- How soon we forget Al Horford running for the hills leaving this team and going to the Sixers because it got so toxic
- How soon we forget Tatum and Brown shying away from being leaders and lacking in playmaking skills, and on record saying "No one should be team leaders"
For Ime Udoka to turn all of that around as well as get to the Finals in one year is a testament to the type of coach he is
Let's not forget Brad Stevens was allowed to have unlimited grace of coaching this team for 8 years with all the aforementioned problems he created and never making the Finals. But I get it, he's white and young so no one bats an eye
