I've been skeptical of Mazzulla from Day 1. Team is still good enough to win in spite of him, but I'd feel much better with him either demoted or sent packing

Mazulla like a mix between Doc and Stevens. Goofy ass lineups and rotations and no adjustments. Gotta win in spite of the coaching not because of it. To win a title we're gonna have to have insane 3 point shooting like the first month in the playoffs.

Doc during timeouts used to be like "Guys, we just got to do what we do, but better".

When the Celtics lost those 2 home games against the lowly Orlando Magic, Joe Mazzulla's response after the game was "I actually thought we played pretty well ".... fukking imbecile

This was why I was so pissed when Ime Udoka got suspended. He instilled a culture, discipline, defensive identity, challenged Tatum and Brown to be better, unlocked Rob Williams. Dude was literally the PERFECT coach for this team

This was a hallmark under Brad for years. Whenever one of the opposition's best players would be a late scratch, the C's would lose their edge, play down to the competition, end up in a dogfight, or lose.

Another Brad hallmark that Joe has brought back is losing after having 2+ days off. I used to track this years ago. It was amazing how they would lose at a disproportionate rate when being fresh and having multiple days off. It's like some It Follows shyt.

Zoo, not Mazz like them reddit and Celticsblog cacs call him, is Black Stevens. Hoards timeouts like they rollover minutes. Stands on the sidelines with his arms crossed just like Brad. He's all about the offense like Brad was all about the defense. I appreciate that cuz the C's downfall under Brad was always mid offenses, despite very good defenses. Ime's defense, which was better than Brad's, with Joe's offense is the blend.

Joe also has the horrible blowout of Jordan Clarkson. How you gonna have the neck done perfectly and then have no fade at all on the sideburns? Mufukka rolling around with Sean Grandeose chopped off sideburns.

And fukk Sean Grande while I'm at it. This fool called the C's the best team in the NBA no less than 6 times on some "it's ok, viewers, they getting a buck fifty but they're still good, guys." Can't stand this mother fukker, always bringing in outside narratives from Twitter like we give a fukk. fukk him.

It’s just way too many losses to subpar teams, Celtics play to their competition which is always a dangerous thing

Celtics this season are 13-6 against the top 8 teams in both conferences…and they’re also 13-6 against the bottom 7 teams in both conferences

5 of the 12 losses are to Orlando twice at home, Chicago twice and to OKC without Shai. It’s a long season so you’re going to get caught slipping, even the 2016 Warriors and 96 Bulls had losses to lottery teams and they’re much better than this team is. But we’re not even halfway through the season yet.

That Brogdon quote makes perfect sense with how they looked. Once they found out Shai wasn’t playing, they got cocky and thought they would just be able to sleepwalk into a win. Instead they had one of the most humiliating beatdowns in NBA history. Maybe that’s the wake-up call they need, maybe not.

i didn't notice much different... Tatum didn't shoot well at all but he got others involved which he's done a good job of the last two seasons.

Brown was in foul trouble and never caught a rhythm.

The supporting cast was mostly good and that's what's happened here also the last 12 games... Tatum/Brown continue to be awesome and Smart has been good most of the year but the other fell off a cliff compared to where they were a month ago. And that was partly expected..

The supporting cast is not as GODLY as they were the 1st 25 games.. but they aren't as bad as they've been the last 13 games either.

He should bounce back but the hype early on was unwarranted lol. Even at 21-5 i never felt the C's were head and shoulders above the Bucks and they haven't really proved they can figure out GSW so everyone coming down to earth right now is good. it shows that the Celts got work to do and maybe a move to make.

The team is so bad on defense right now and it's mostly effort.. Timelord is playing well but nobody else cares. Matador defense. Another game too where the Celts are up and have a comfortable lead and they just settle for 3 after 3.. no rhythm.. people standing around. Hard to watch.
