It's a lot easier to sleep at night when the dude that made a high schooler re-evaluate (and subsequently realize) their place in the entire landscape of competitive sports goes on to win a Heisman Trophy, becomes a 1st round pick, and also won a Super Bowl. Eventually you have a hell of a respectable story to tell later in life.
The problem is when a Frankie Sinclair shows scouts that you, his opponent, have no business being on the field with a real athlete, straight up deading a whole lotta NYC high school nikkas' college football dreams in one Saturday afternoon, then you never hear a thing about him ever again in athletics after he graduates from high school.

Bo’s run over Mike Harden the week before was much better.
My favorite though was Earl Campbell in college, over Michael Downs (who turned out to be a good NFL player too).
