"Gotham City was originally a fictional version of New York City in the early Batman comics. At that point, each comics character existed in a separate “universe,” so Gotham City was just what NYC was called in Batman stories. Metropolis is also a fictional version of New York City."
For a history of the term “Gotham,” one doesn’t have to go much further than Edwin Burrows’ and Mike Wallace's Gotham: A History of New York City to 1898.

Neal Adams, who has illustrated Batman for DC Comics since the 1970s, says he's always thought of Chicago, with its 1940s mobster history and miles of dark alleys, as the basis for Gotham City. "Chicago has had a reputation for a certain kind of criminality," says Adams, who lives in New York.Jul 20, 2008

New York is the basis, historically. Later on Chicago's architecture inspired the design of the buildings and the dark alleys

And batman is the 1% of the 1% and didn't even work for it.

Facts. Dude is the epitome of white privilege, white “guilt” and the white mans “burden”

Living off generational wealth while being self righteous even tho he lives a double life. Asserts himself in the super hero arena even tho he has ZERO super powers (but I guess money is power), defies local law enforcement and then puts criminals in a position to directly target his city while he runs off and lives in a mansion in the burbs (with a panic room deep inside of a cave)

The worst would be that you're just a regular civilian trying to work and then a superhero and some villain come crashing through your apartment on some epic fight and you were just making dinner :stopitslime:

Or Superman throws some pillar at a bad guy only to miss and crush your car :dahell:

These superheros miss like 95% of their attacks. And then the other 5% they're throwing somebody through a building or causing some crazy collateral damage on some

Imagine your boss made you work late and these nikkas start boxing

That's why so many people love spiderman. He ain't some multimillionaire with mental issues or some nikka that has no weaknesses. He's struggling to pay rent while getting hated on for trying to do the right thing :wow:

Spiderman is just the type of White boy that's on Reddit, talking bout how broke he is and working 2 min wage jobs and he never sold a nicklebag of weed so why should you...

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Imagine driving home late at night in Gotham. You've practically missed dinner, that your wife has made, and the kids are already in bed. You had to stay late after work to do a job that underpays and doesn't appreciate you. Suddenly, a car moves in front of you and you decided to give this driver a piece of your mind because fukk this day and you've had it. Then, as you start screaming at the driver, you see this...
