Buu Saga was a bunch ofnikkas wrote that shyt as they went along. Ending the series with a Brolly saga and having Vegeta be the main protagonist would have been
Buu Saga was good for the sake of explaining the biggest fears of the kais and Vegeta's evolution of his character.
Both DragonBall Z and InuYasha(IMO), while still great and entertaining, had wasted potential.
With DBZ tho, I would have liked if they had gone with the idea to make Gohan the lead and gave him a few sagas where Goku was dead and had his own group to save the world. He could have met Videl earlier and had her be his Bulma and maybe after a saga when Goten when old enough to realistically contribute in a fight, let him be a Krillin type character.
but yeah, Broly should have been canon. Tho it would have been a short saga without some tweaks(which obviously would come). Broly wasn't as dumb as Buu so they couldn't buy time or cocky as Cell to just give them time, he was just in it to wreak shyt. Kid Buu with a grudge basically. The whole saga would start with Earth being destroyed

Inuyasha:The Final Act was good because it elevated Sesshomaru to god-like abilities, but that's about it. The whole notion of youkai could've be used in a lot more entertaing way. And basically having Naraku as the villain for like 200 episodes made the show stale. And they should've done more flashbacks with the Inu no Taisho (Ses and Inuyasha's dad) and showed him tearing shyt up since they always talked about what a bad-ass he was. Wasted potential indeed

on the fact that they didn't let Vegeta be the one that took out Broly, Vegeta grew up hearing stories on the legendary super saiyan so it would have made sence with him being the only one knowing how to beat him... but instead as usual they let Goku save the day
you can replace goku with cena and it'll still sound the same
No the Buu saga itself was fine. I just think they should have made it like 15 to 20 episodes shorter.
Since GT is not considered Canon because Toriyama did not work on it. The Broly saga should have been the last official saga in the series.
That was the biggest flaw with dbz despite how fukking classic the whole series is. I look at my other favorite anime Detective Conan and the hundreds of episodes and the complex storyline.
Not saying they should have gone that far but I think Toriyama knows he could have gone alot further and spiced it up especially with storylines.
In the Broly saga we could have seen a stronger parallel between father and son with Broly/Paragus much more than we saw with Frieza and King Cold(which was like 2 episodes lol
