It's a TV show, and I guess you could say it's a spin-off of City of God. The same actors that play in City of God, play in City of Men too. It's less violent and more lighthearted than City of God.

There's a City Of Men movie too, which was pretty good. Strayed a little closer to the themes in City Of God, but stiill had the TV show's vibe.

City of Men (film) is good but far from the original. There was an emotional connection in the first that just wasn't present in this one
But maybe that's because I figured out he'd killed the boy's father rather early
