That's not true. They also had and still have Ingram, they also had Lonzo who was another young decent starter.

Pelicans problem is they failed at drafting ever since then and their players kept having injury problems.

Pelicans made the playoffs without Zion. It's not like they were complete buns waiting for Zion to turn into a star.
