your international trip was to canada tho lmao
This is tru.

Didn't realize how different Canada was from the US. Been to Windsor back when a DL was all that was needed and a Michigan DL was basically a veritable fun pass.

I remember getting on a total uh… "free spirit" from Windsor back in the day, too. You only has to be 19 to drink and hitting up Windsor was how we celebrated turning 19. Canada been killing the game and I didn't even stop to think about it.

I got a passport recently, didn't get it expedited, but I'm not sure what she did to warrant $350.

They charged you $25 for the photo which is a waste. Even if you don't want to take the photo yourself, you can go to a walgreens/cvs/walmart and get it done for a third to half that price.
If you still had to go to the post office, that means you were probably just filling out the same standard forms that are available for free online. Could have just printed them yourself, filled them out and went to the post office.
The government will let you pay them extra directly to expedite the passport.
Sounds like you overall paid at least $100 more than you should have. All that office did was have you fill out standard forms, overcharge you for a photo and send you to the post office.
I'm not seeing what they did extra to get your passport expedited.

My sister lives in Chicago like OP (i believe) and she got her passport quickly just by going directly to the passport agency.
I could be wrong or missing something but I don't see why people would go to one of these. I guess some people would pay for the convenience or something.

Nah, even the government says they are a waste. Not saying this to shyt on your idea, but why open a business that's basically a scam? Unless you have dreams of chilling on fb chat while people hand you money.

Customers utilizing courier companies who may call themselves "passport expeditors" do not receive their passport any faster than those applying directly at a passport agency.

I paid around $150 for mine, including photo, and didn't get mine expedited. Looks like it would have been just another $75 for expedition + overnight delivery and I live in a major city that has a passport agency.

I don't even think you need the passport book to go into canada, just the card which is cheaper.

I got my passport in less than 7 days.

Had zero issues filing.

Trip was a success.

Well worth the money for the convenience.

Then position yourself as an all around service, for people who want to file for a passport expedited or not. Main benefit you'd provide all the necessary paperwork, take the photo and ensure they have the required documents. Could even call the post office on their behalf and set them appointments.

You could've gotten it in under 7 days without them, so that's not a real benefit you can lean on. My sister lives in Chicago and got hers in the same span, no expedite service.
