This thread made me check today's podcast, and he's even being real about Lebron now... And he's been Bron's biggest supporter.

I'm not talking about the people who were upset with the spectacle of him leaving with the TV special and all that because I didn't like it either. I'm talking about the people who were acting like lebron owed cleveland his entire existence just because he's from ohio, and yeah, I do think a lot of that fake outrage that surrounded him at the time had roots in racism...and the media basically taking that angle, co-signing it, and running with it was troubling. And for the record, I'm not black (not white either), so I'm not speaking from any kind of bias...just an observation.
Like I said he says his opinion....ppl try and pigeon hole him on being something and then when he breaks away from what they think he "really thinks" he's automatically trolling. Because he made a stupid comment regarding John Wall he must hate Lebron James. Huh?
I dont agree with everything he says, but its refreshing to hear a guy on the radio unafraid to speak his mind. So many ppl are waiting to be offended.

I'm pretty sure the calls are all either fake or pre-recorded. If you listen, he adds in a few "yeah" "mmhmm" comments while the guy is talking and then you never hear the guy talk again after Colin responds. 99% of the time, the call leads right into a point he already wanted to make. If he was really taking calls live, he'd have people going off-topic and he'd get slammed every once in a while.
As others have said, Cowherd isn't a sports guy. He's all about making money. He just takes strange viewpoints in sports to be polarizing and get attention but you can tell he never saw the games or players he talks about.

Cowherd is the only person on ESPN that I can listen to. He is not remotely racist. Not at all. Don't listen to him as often as I use to because I have simply tuned out ESPN but I do catch Colin on podcast sometimes.

well he takes maybe 1 or 2 calls a show and as others have said its basically a caller that segways him to his point so the caller is either taped or planted..ive heard his show does have planted callers

He's ok looking, but Colin's nasal voice and his blatantly elitist attitude just ticks me OFF. I don't like his perspective OR that annoying commercial about "ya can't discriminate based on race...in 2012." <--- implying that in the good ol' days, ya COULD
