I was watching a soccer game the other day, and one team scored a goal with like 20 minutes left to make it 2-0, and the announcer is like "well, that should do it." And I'm like what kind of sport is basically over with a 2-0 score?

Depends on the context, the team, the stakes, the tournament, level of competition etc. A team like Spain a match will be over if they score one goal, thus a game could conceivably be over in the 5th minute if scored.

A team like Arsenal, they can be up 4-0 at half time and the match could end 4-4. All depends on the joke-serious scale of a team. I'd suggest you support a joke team.

EPL is the most entertainin, Spanish has the best players, but there is only 2 teams that can win the league and they usually rape the other teams with scores 4-0 and above.

I suggest not choosing a team until you watch a full season of a league or follow results. You run the risk of being called a glory hunter/JCL. Or you might just disown a team after they hit rough times. Watch games, read articles, choose a team based on their style of play or a player who you like to watch. You might enjoy it more.

The premier league is fun times but Real Madrid are another level.

An actual force, not really vague but a concentrated effort and ill-will towards anything that are believed to be beautiful in football. Like the Dutch of the 60s' and 70s'; not in the style of play but the thought behind the football. A type of football that berates beauty but inevitably creates it themselves.

The variety of their play, power, pace, the ability to turn defense into attack in mere seconds, Avatar Eyes da Gawd and C. Dot among others. It's a beautiful team.

Barcelona are alright too I suppose.

Not at all. The midfield of Spain is essentially Barcelona + Xabi Alonso (who plays for Real Madrid).

Madrid aren't as possession based. Their main m.o. is counter attacking for example this first goal, where the move starts near their own 18-yd box:




Granted behind Barcelona in terms of passes attempted is Real Madrid in La Liga but this past season their counter attacks are what stood out the most.

Theres only Barca play that way and Barca do it better. But there are teams that do play attractive football, but not the complex way the Spanish NT/Barca do, everyone else is atleast 3-5-10 years away from playin like how they do.

LOL...there are so many characters. Just watch whatever game is televised next season. Im sure you will see a team that catches your eye and then you can go online and catch all their matches.

Im an Arsenal fan. Been one for years. Had the great times....but now we arent really known for winning too much. We are always in the hunt though...just hard to keep up with the big spenders. But as far as football goes, we play a style thats easy on the eye, lots of possesion, nice little 1,2s....classy finishing....and are involved in every competition every year.
