Sure, the entrance and promos were cool at first. But now that the dust has settled, this gimmick is pretty wack. Dude is basically a mix between Waylon Mercy and Mankind while looking like John Tenta in 1991.

Sure he can talk, but he does not stand out in the ring. That match with Kane at SummerSlam was horrible, and the match with R-Truth tonight was almost just as bad. Maybe I'm judging him too harshly since he's at the beginning of his career, but I honestly see dude fizzling out with this gimmick. He's already getting the silent treatments near the end of his matches/segments. His ring work won't be able to carry him either because it's pretty much non-existant.

I agree up to a point. His entrance and promos are cool but it all comes down to what he does in the ring and both his matches so far have been terrible. I think the match with Kane was restricted by the Ring of Fire gimmick. But that's still no excuse for making Wyatt look so weak against Kane. And, like you said, the match with R-Truth was horrible too. I've liked what i've seen of Wyatt so far, especially in NXT. Hopefully he gets into a meaningful feud soon and gets the time to pull it all together.

I think he has been solid so far, the only awkward spot I saw last night was the finish with Truth. But he'll be fine, curious to see how far are they gonna let him go with this demonic stuff though

hes a character driven personality, and you want to have a well rounded roster. Not everyone has to be Bryan Daniel.

The gimmick is cool but I feel like they do the same thing with every new wrestler. They have them squash scrubs and that doesn't help them get over because people have saw these dudes owned by the likes of Sin Cara and Brodus Clay already. If you really wanted to get heat on The Wyatt Family have them kill Cena instead of him announcing he's taking time off.
