The problem was too many turnovers and not getting key rebounds. The bad news is that this was Denver's off game so we really should have taken advantage. They're gonna have good shooting games still and presumably better defensive games as well which will be difficult to overcome.

Yep, the turnovers killed us. Kawhi has to shoot more than 15 shots, not to mention he personally had 7 turnovers which is outrageous for a guy like him. Denver will probably shoot better in game 2 but that also means Norm and/or Bogdan have to give us something and if they do that should nullify a better Denver shooting game. Maybe Russ gets big headed off that three he hit and now its bombs away which helps us greatly. Add in more Zu involvement and pick and rolls and we should get game 2. We'll see.

This team can come out with their hair on fire tomorrow and it doesn’t matter. Denver has proven itself over the years to be the ultimate Walk You Down team. Beyond simply making shots the execution will have to get sharper as the game goes because that’s what will happen on the other side.

Zu is the only person who can fight Jokic. Embrace that and go offense minded when he takes a breather. Batum should be small ball five and Coffey has to play. Jokic shouldn’t be allowed a minutes rest. That’s one of the reason Minny got it done last year. Ben’s minutes terrify me because it’s EXACTLY who Trezz’s minutes represented in the bubble series…a rest haven Joker didn’t have to worry about so he could reserve his energy for offense

Id be interested in Patty Mills getting some temperature minutes if Bog is dead. Neither can defend so might as well see who can give offense.

Most importantly no excuses for Kawhi. Everybody plays your game for the hope you’re healthy enough to be great now. Time to be great. If the call is for Harden then find a way to get involved. Don’t throw the ball away and be more decisive.

One for the ages game for Kawhi. Wow! If Norm is unlocked then we're going to start steamrollin'. Can't stand the Nuggets simply because Jokic and Murray are so f*cking dangerous and clutch. Jokic was flopping like crazy out there. I think they might tire out, its starting to look like it now. I guess that's why Jokic is flopping cause they running out of gas. Those Westbrook threes falling be having me pissed off like a MF.

1st ever playoff game at Intuit is going to be nuts after this win. I secured a couple of tickets, can't wait. Lets get two at home and get some separation from these dudes.

With Norm back we have a Big 4 and will be extremely tough to beat. Good rotations, good staggering of Harden and Kawhi. Zu ballin'. Norm making a comeback at the right time. Dunn and Batum stellar. DDJ, positive Ben Simmons minutes. What's not to like. Denver on the other hand is running strictly off Jokic and Murray power and not much else. If this continues they'll be gassed by game 4. I was at the game and Intuit Dome is a dream come true for the franchise. Amazing. Literally built for the playoffs.

No disrespect to the Nuggets but none of our offense is proven until we can do it against that Thunder defense. And the Nuggets have a championship mentality, they're not gonna lie down because of one good three point shooting game. Let's see what we have on Saturday.

I hate OKC/Clippers being a WCSF matchup. Pretty sure those are the two best teams in the west

I'm not even thinking about the Thunder. In no way shape or form was I looking past the Nuggets right now. We got to finish them off. I'm just saying they look like they want to end the season and go home.

If there is a thought about OKC, the team better figure out how to protect Kawhi cause Lou Dort is going to purposefully try to take him out and launch himself into his knees.

Facts, I'm taking this one game at a time.
But this does seem different tho. No Covid bubble, PG's mental issues, Doc with no adjustments and stuck with Tez guarding Jokic, etc. But still, it's one win at a time right now against Denver.
