How common is it for toddlers to get cavities?
Just found out our almost-4-year-old has a small cavity. And it makes me feel like a bad parent.
I hate that she may have to go in and get a little filling. It breaks my heart. Do you recommend weekly flouride rinses for toddlers?

I don't really see kids, but normally younger kids get cavities because they drink milk or juice right before they go to sleep (especially if they sleep with a bottle in their mouth).How common is it for toddlers to get cavities?

If she is able to rinse (and spit, not swallow) you can definitely have her rinse with a Fluoride rinse. I always recommend ACT rinse. Also make sure you're brushing her teeth twice daily, make sure not to brush too hard. You or your wife should be helping her, she should not be doing it herself.
Don't be too hard on yourself, some 4 year olds have stainless steel crowns in their mouths.
