No point and going at this lame ass dude. If you were to put your hands on him it would be workplace violence. Best thing is to just hold off and make sure you get paid Monday. Then find another job and leave the place. If it happened once it can happen again. Nothing like not getting paid when you are supposed to.

Exactly...I been in this industry 20 plus years. Never seen anything like this. He could have at the LEAST asked me not to attempt to cash it cause the LAW states that you CANNOT post date payroll checks or if you do they CAN be cashed. He is acting like I'm at fault here.

While he should have a some sort of savings to get him through shyt like this, he should also be paid on time. If I fulfill my obligations I expect the employer to do the same. And for dude to give a check knowing damn well shyt gonna bounce is shady as hell.

I did I will be alright though...it's just some bullshyt that could have been avoided and now me and dude will have issues. I already was seeing some shady shyt with him before this. He is a shytty engineer, manager, etc...it's on now.

No need to work in that kind of environment if you don't have to. You have the years of experience and I'm gonna assume there is a demand for IT people. I'd blaze for a place with steady pay and direct deposit. Checks should be abolished altogether. Plus looking at that shady dude every day knowing he isn't trustworthy won't help your morale while there.

Great Post...other than his bytch ass this is the perfect job. Located downtown Detroit, Black-owned non profit law firm, great pay(when received), close to my home. Nobody really even likes his ass up here but it's his network. I got something for his ass though. n/h
