*reads op and doesn't see any mention of dude wanting to be a engineer*

i find it funny that two of the people who complain about the higher learning being a cesspool of condescending liberals would be so condescending towards some one who is seeking help.

I apologize for my harsh words.

Nobody in college should be asking questions like that. Nobody.

Now, he wants to get into marketing. It's the same trend that I have seen for years. He's basically on the track to sales. is that what he wants? Because thats where he is headed whether he knows it or not.

Why should he have to go through college? Just to be in sales somewhere? it doesn't make any sense, and its being subsidized by the tax payer. What's the reason for this? I know a guy in frito lay sales who was let go because he didn't have a degree! 25 years experience! He was replaced by a women in Business degree who was a manager at applebees. WTF? she went through college to be manager at applebees?

does education make better people? Would you say im better? I doubt that.

i highly doubt he's the only person who has struggled with math in college. i'm also sure that there are plenty of people who struggled with math in their life and went on to be successful people. there is probably various reasons why your associate at fritos being replaced and let go. most of the time not having a degree won't get the fired but will stop you from advancing :manny:
