In any case, you can tell that media clown Spears that Lucy pulls a football away from Charlie Brown before he can kick it. Ignoring the fact that it's a terrible metaphor because the Lakers simply overshadow the Clippers but do not seek to "set them up" in any way comparable to the cartoon characters in question, I understand that Spears replaced the football with a basketball in a heavy-handed attempt to tie the joke together because its about basketball teams, but needless to say there is no placekicker in basketball, or anything similar to it, so the phrase "move the basketball" is rendered utterly meaningless and makes the entire attempt at a clever quip...quite lame. It makes no sense.
