Temp agencies are always hiring... but have a plan if you go through one

That sir is the truth. Good luck to the man, trying to find a job and actually trying and getting denied is some soul snatching self destructing shyt. But breh don't join the Army. Especially with dumb ass getting into office. Stay clear the fukk away from that lane, I would at least. But to each their own

Step 1 - Take the next 3 to 4 months to get in shape. I recommend HIIT for at least 6 weeks followed by body weight exercises coupled with The Every Other Day Diet (or just ask people in the Gym forum). In 3 months, you could be in the best shape of your life.
Step 2 - Reach out to a recruiter in Portsmouth which will likely be Navy. Ask what it takes to get into IT or security.
Step 3 - Enlist - you can be out by mid-late 20's with no debt, college opportunities, etc. Odds are you will not see combat.
Step 4 - You mentioned you wanted to run for office. You will get at least some respect being former military in running.
Step 5 - A regular paycheck can help you take care of not only you, but family.

Great advice, but those recruiters can be on some bullshyt. if he wants to go navy I can have my h speak to him or we still have lots of navy family in the area.

If he hasn't taken the asvab yet he should do all the practice tests online too.

Have you taken the asvab?
Have you been down to tcc and spoke to them in depth about your financial aid needs?
I haven't been to TCC since 2015. Tried to get a grant then, but was denied. However, I guess I will try it again.

Nope haven't taken my ASVAB.

Man tbh, just about every young person in their 20's are going thru this. I'm somewhat in the same boat too and it's scary because you don't want to be THAT guy. Mopping hallways in your 40's and shackled financially because you didn't seize the opportunity in your 20's when you had the opportunity. Just keep your head up @JudgeJoeGorilla we all going thru it. Don't worry about the job situation, someone will hire you, believe me. If you feel like the military is your way out then go for it, don't be hesitant. The great thing is we're still young so we can do different things and take different routes if you feel that one thing is not for you. Keep ya head up big brah, stay positive :salute:

I'm going to be talking to a recruiter soon also. Planning on going Air Force. From what I've heard, their basic training is the easiest out of the three services and it's also the safest service.
