Both mother and father play different roles. A father is supposed to be an example of what a daughter should look for in a man. The mother is supposed to let the daughter kno the power of her p*ssy. Same thing goes for sons. A mother should be an example of the type of woman the son should look for and the father is supposed to let him kno to be wise about who he fukks and wrap it u when he does.

Now of course all that is ideal but when you have two capable parents on the same page this is how it should go

This is why you teach your children to not follow the status quo and to be an individual. And that they don't have to follow what others are doing. And also as a parent you should monitor the type of friends your children have.

Of course this has been going on for a while, because parents are dropping the ball. I didn't do stupid shyt as a teen growing up aside from getting in fights in junior high and that was due to bullying.

I didn't drink, smoke weed, hang around the wrong crowds, having sex with whoever whenever etc. You can clearly see the kids who were the most fukked up.. that it trickles back to their parents or lack thereof.

And why did I choose not to engage in such behavior? Because I valued myself and didn't feel as if I needed to follow what everyone else was doing to appear cool or "in". I valued myself and didn't want the consequences in engaging in destructive behavior would have brought to my life.

I appreciate this thread, it's so I'm point. And this is coming from a black woman with a black father that is emotionally unavailable to me, has been all my life. Cheated on my mom with women from the church, at lil bro's football games, had the broads calling our home. Never gave me advice on men. Some of these guys ain't trying to hear it. Parents need to be in their children's lives in all areas. Physically, mentally, emotionally etc. And we need to set a precedent and show them how a man is supposed to be and how a woman is supposed to be. If the father treats his wife with respect at all times and vice versa, this is what the children are going to see as what relationships should be like.

Both play a role. Saying it has nothing to do with parenting is absolutely untrue. You can see the clear difference in children with parents who raised them correctly versus those who didn't before the child is assimilated into society.

You are going to tell me a kid that has a 4.0+ GPA, got accepted into every ivy league school and a kid who flunked out of school have nothing to do with parenting? There are children out there who started businesses at the age of 12 that's making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why? Because their parents noticed their gifts and nurtured them. Whereas a kid with a gift could have parents that just want him to go to school and that's it. The kid ends up doing something they hate and/or are not passionate about.

And to say America has no culture is ridiculous. It definitely does.

It's the job of the parents to teach their children to not be consumed by society and follow what society does or tells you to do. If that were the case we'd all be mindless drones who all thought, think, eat, drink, etc the same.
