As a "old 33yr old" head like myself, I can say it's just you.

AJ would of thrived in any era and would of not only held his own but possibly out worked all great in ring performers like HBK, Bret, Eddie, Benoit, Angle as well.

AJ has clearly been the best performer in the world for almost 10+yrs now and there's nothing slowing him down. A lot of wrestlers usually hit their primes between 35-40 and they perfect crafts. I think by the time AJ retires, he could be the greatest wrestler of all time

In that group he only replaces Crispenwah, the others had more charisma and better characters especially in WWE.

I don't buy into the "best in the world" talk. That disrespects a lot of guys. Just because someone isn't getting pushed doesn't mean they aren't worthy of high praise. AJ is a tremendous athlete and we will never see another one like him much like Rey before the injuries but best in the world? Come on that's smark narrative b.s.

We didn't call Rey the best in the world. We didn't call Eddie or even Angle in his prime the "best in the world." That's straight smark bs from the leader himself CM Skunk.

^Punk's never been better than Styles. One reason Styles has been getting tons of praise is because people weren't expecting him to be so good on the mic in the WWE. I've been watching AJ since he was dressing like a fighter pilot, and it was his promos that had haunted him for years. Dude was cringe-worthy, especially around that time when Impact had him being a mini-Flair. But to see him go toe to toe with guys today on the mic has elevated him as an all around guy. We weren't calling Rey, Eddie, Angle, etc Best in The World, cause we were simply appreciating a ton of good-great matches with star power. Styles as he is currently would have been right their with them. He's a star in his own right, he just isn't wrestling other stars like Angle, etc were back then.

AJ Styles one of the best things WWE got going right now. He wouldn't have been able to hang in the Attitude Era (he would have been IC Champ and a solid mid-carder at best) but I like his hustle :ehh:

He wouldn't have been able to hang but he would have held a prestigious belt :leostare:
