I was at 7-11 on New Hampshire a couple years back and it felt like I was in a foreign country for real. They were looking at me like I had no business being there
A lot of black wealth was created from black civil servants in DC. When those civil servants looked for their share of the American dream, PG was prime due to cheaper land. After that, it was a snowball effect. Well to do blacks wanted to be surrounded by fellow well to do blacks.
Nah it's two different spots owned by the same people. X4B closed too, unless they opened it back up. Haven't heard any ads on the radio in a minute.
I think they closed down all hole in the wall strip clubs in PG save Fuegos and Ebony Inn.
There was a big lawsuit a while back.

Why are the public schools so bad compared to Howard County or Montgomery county?
One thing I read is that a lot of blacks send their kids to private schools. How true is this and are blacks really making bank like that out there?

Funding and schools are kinda over crowded.
And yes, blacks of the means will send their kids to private schools. Bishop McNamara, St. Johns are some of the more prominent ones I know of. PG high schools are hot garbage save Bowie and a few of them that have magnet programs.
Mad corruption in the schools as well.
How is cost of living like? I'm currently in DC but if I ever start a family, I wanna move to PG. Is that a dumb move?
Where are the taxes going? Seems off, no? Wealthy communities but poor schools. Seems like it’s hustling backwards.
County wide, the tax base ain't as high as people think it is. You can't have only Bowie and Upper Marlboro carrying the entire county. MoCo and HoCo are for more uniform in terms of property tax revenue. In PG, you still have places like Suitland, Cap Heights, Largo etc that have dense and high population but not of homeowners (less property taxes).
What's the restaurant scene like? The thing about Northern VA is that there is all types of food over here...well, everything except soul food smh.
